Last night I tired my first Zumba class. While this might not have been my proudest moment shaking my groove thang with my co-workers it was a lot of fun. If you haven't tried it, do it! It is fun and a great workout. You will also learn some great dance moves for the clubs ;)

After my Zumba class, I headed to a friends house in the Valley for a Potluck Italian dinner. Hint on why I needed to work out ahead of time. It was great meeting new people and catching up with old friends. When we are all together it makes me want to move back to that area, but when we are on the westside we want to stay. This is the NEVER ENDING debate between Marco and I. One day we will make up our mind-maybe.

This weekend is filled with some fun things! Tonight we are seeing the MJ Cirque show. We bought these tickets 14 months ago so it is nice we are finally able to use them. Tomorrow is movie day! Sunday we are celebrating Ashley's bday with pizza and Diddy Riese. I swear this girl know the way to my heart pizza and cookies. It is the perfect way to spend the weekend!

31 days ago I was in Atlanta {Alpharetta to be exact} celebrating Christmas with my family.

Leading up to the trip I was over the moon excited. After a 4.5 hour red eye flight we arrived and it was wonderful.

I'm LOVING today is Hump Day! Monday and Tuesday alone have felt like full weeks here at the office. I think it is payback for last week being so easy while my boss was out.

I'm LOVING next week is February. There are so many fun things planned for this short month and I can't wait! First up is the blogger meet-up in San Diego!

I'm LOVING I found my song!

I'm LOVING we are starting to plan trips. There may be a trip back home for a weekend this spring. Marco's brother is graduating HS. I started dating Marco when he was just 3 years old. Craziness.

I'm LOVING my new running shoes. Technically I haven't bought them yet, but they are mine in my mind. Come February 1st when my spending band is up they will be mine.

I'm LOVING the pet store by my house will only carry adoptable dogs, no puppies from mills. This will make me feel a lot less guilty when we go and look at our potential fur baby.

I'm LOVING hot chocolate. Each afternoon this week I have indulged, it has been the perfect way to end my work day.

I'm LOVING my mom finally sent me pictures from Christmas. I took about 14 the entire time {fail}. Now I can finally do my holiday recap. Only a month late.

Oscar Nominations

The Oscars are like my Super Bowl.

I love them!

This will be Marco's and my 14 year watching them together. When he was in college I would always take the Monday after off work so we could watch them together on Sunday night. Yes, I am that dedicated.

We live in LA for one reason, film, with the goal of one day making a movie that leads to another and another and then one day when he is old and gray maybe an Oscar. It is that dream that keeps us here each and every day.

Well this morning the nominations were announced. We have been hesitant to see any films lately because we don't want to waste money on ones that won't be nominated. At $30 a pop for 2 tickets we have to choose wisely.

Monday Blues

What an awesome start to this rainy Monday! Please note the sarcastic tone. I think it is pay back for last week being so great. Hopefully today is a fluke and things will get back to normal tomorrow.

This weekend was chill. Marco and his cinematographer spent most of the weekend color correcting a project they are working on so that meant I caught up on One Tree Hill episodes, cleaned, watched football, had a dance party with myself and decorated a little.

We did manage to squeeze in a Chick-fil-a date, Home Depot run and see The Separation. Overall it was just what I needed.

This week I am hoping to get to the gym 4 or 5 times, meet up with Ashley, cook a new recipes aka try veal for the first time, a pot luck dinner with friends and ending the work week with Michael Jackson's Immortal at the Staples Center.

Happy FRIDAY ya'll!

Are you as happy as I am the weekend is just a few short hours away?

Last night I had my very first blate with Ashley. She is awesome. I kind of wish her and her husband were out here for longer than 3 months. I had so much nervous energy before hand I had to go to the gym first and then I showed up in my workout clothes feeling out of place because this is a blate and you want to look cute. haha We hit it off and I am excited to get to know her better:)

Also last night Marco's old roommate, Sing, was in Atlanta shooting a TI/Jeezy/Tiger music video. He invited my sisters to come on set. They were so excited.

This weekend is packed with arts and craft projects as well as a trip to Chick-Fil-A. Its the small things friends, when CFA is taken away from you or is 15+ miles away you crave it more. I promise.

Last night I had a ton of energy and am pretty bored with our apartment so I decided to organize. Thrilling, I know. During my organization spree I found 50+ mixed CDs that I made from 2000 to 2006. You can only imagine what gems are on there.

I am on the hunt for one song in particular, it is my favorite workout song ever and you can't buy it on iTunes or amazon. It is available on a single, but I don't want to shell out the $7 for it. Lame I guess?

The song is Madonna's What It Feels Like For A Girl remixed by Paul Oakenfold.

If you see me on the freeway over the next month rocking out to bad remixes, Ashlee Simpson or 90's rap is it because I am on a mission and reliving my teenage years.

I can't believe it is already January 13. I know we are only 2 weeks in, but this month is going by fast.

I am really looking forward to the weekend. Tonight we are staying in. I am hoping to have enough energy to workout this afternoon. Marco will be making grilled fish tacos {which I love} and we will be watching Sideways.

I have never seen this and it has been apart of our DVD collection for about 5+ years. Its time. We have to get ready for our wine tasting adventures this spring!

Saturday our friends are getting together to watch the NFL games. {GO BRONCOS!} This will be the first time we are all together since before Christmas. I am bringing Just Dance 3 to see if I can kick everyone butts. If you aren't familiar with this game I will be posting a video. I also can't wait to get my hands on this little guy.

I'm LOVING my mom was nominated yet again for Teacher of the Year! It seems like she is nominated every year but always declines. She says it is too much of a hassle. lol

I'm LOVING the super secret project Marco is working on. It is awesome and I can't wait to show it to you. Fingers crossed this leads to great things.

I'm LOVING our trip to Sonoma is complete. Flights, cottage and car are all booked. We just need to pick out the winery's and we will be all set.

I'm LOVING my sister in law. We always have the best conversations. I can't wait for her to visit in February!

I'm LOVING working out. Last week at WW I lost all the wine poundage I gained over the holidays plus .4 lbs. This week I have been hitting the gym and love it. I keep telling myself I am in control and I am the only person standing in my way.

Weekend Recap

Hi Friends! How was your weekend? Mine went nothing as planned, but I am totally okay with that!

Friday night we met up with C & D for a double date. It was their first night out without Baby Decker. It was so great to catch up and eat yummy Mexican food. We went to a new place in Westwood. If you are ever around the area I would check it out.

As we were walking home we noticed a girl who looked like she was on drugs. Typically this would have scared me, but as we passed her she started to whimper. I turned around and asked her if she was okay. She said there was a guy who was following her and he tried to grab her! As soon as she saw us she ran towards us but was too embarrassed to say anything. Marco and I walked her to her apartment and immediately called the cops. Please remember if this does happen to you yell FIRE, not help. See why here. I used to work for the victims brother and this is one thing he would always tell us. Please be careful out there no matter how safe you think things might be.

On a lighter note, M was working on a demo video all day Saturday so I slept until noon, hit the gym and organized our apartment. Honestly it was quite a nice little Saturday for me.

Sunday revolved around the Bronco's game. What a game! Needless to say we were screaming after the last pass. It was unreal and I am so happy for them. I don't think they can pull off winning against the Patriots, but who knows?! I obviously don't because I thought they would loose to the Steelers! ha Check out this awesome video here!

Confession Friday

I haven't been the best employee today. I am mentally checked out and just coasting to 5 PM.

M is working tomorrow on a demo about an hour away which means I will have the day to myself. Kind of excited about it. Wouldn't you be too if your day was filled with cleaning and organizing?

I am on a spending diet. No clothes, makeup, homegoods or anything else fun this month. I kind of need a brake from all the material stuff.

I had a piece of cookie cake for lunch today. It was awesome and totally worth the 6 WW points.

Sometimes I wish we would move back to GA. Life would be so much easier for me, but then I remember that without a big risk there will be no big reward.

I really, really want the Broncos to win Sunday, but I don't think they will be able to pull it off.

I gained 2.2 pounds over the holidays solely from wine consumption {my opinion}.

Stepping It Up

My office is very flexible with work attire. We are a jeans company, so wearing them everyday is not something that is frowned upon.

At the end of last year I started getting lazy with my outfits. I was dressing more for comfort instead of for the job I have. It didn't hit me until my boss was out of the office and one of our Sr. Recruiters was in town. She asked me how I was doing "besides dressing super casual" while my boss was out of the office.

In that moment I could have died. This isn't the person I am or want to be perceived as. That day I made a decision to stop dressing for comfort and start dressing for the position I hold and who I assist.

Ring Bling

Today I am linking up with CMae. She is recently engaged and decided to do a link-up where us girls can talk about our favorite wedding bling, weather it is on your finger or not.

I still absolutely love my engagement ring. It is a family heirloom on Marco's side of the family. The center stone is the same stone his father proposed to his mother with. {His father has since passed and she is remarried.}

Before Marco proposed I always knew this is the diamond I was getting but was unsure of the setting I wanted. Without me knowing Marco and his mom went to our family jeweler. He picked out a setting he loved. Some how my mom caught wind of this and told Marco he better take me to try on rings. This is something I will wear for the rest of my life and she wanted me to love it. A few weeks later he took me and I must have tried on a million settings. After lots and lots of looking I settled on a Scott Kay Platinum setting with 5 small stones in the band on either side, it was the same one Marco picked out a couple weeks earlier. I guess he knows me pretty well!

Seven months later he proposed, much to my surprise. I was completely shocked. He had always said we would get engaged after college. Two and a half years later we tied the knot and are living happily ever after!

The day after we got engaged...not sure what is going on with my straw hair color ;)

A Late San Francisco Treat Part II

Our second day in SF was our only full day so we had to make the most of it! We walked EVERYWHERE…7 miles total. Good thing for Tom’s!

We woke up early and headed to Starbucks for a quick bite and then off to Union Square. It was cool, but I wasn’t in the mood for shopping as stores we have at home. We did a quick run through and then headed back to Chinatown. I was on the hunt for some goodies and was successfulJ We opted to have a nice lunch in Chinatown. It was delish!

After our over indulgent lunch we headed to Lombard Street. You have to see it! It was filled with tourist and was awesome. Flowers we in bloom and it was sunny. Couldn’t have asked for a better photo opt.

After Lombard Street we decided to head back to the Marina district and walk around the shops. It was wonderful to enjoy the city and feel like a local. We saw two adorable Bulldogs outside of a bar, so now we are on a Bulldog kick for a potential dog. After the shops we started walking home. It was only about 1.5 miles, but with the hills it took us 45 minutes to get to the hotel. Needless to say my feet hurt and a shower was in order along with room service. We spent the rest of the evening watching football and enjoying the view.

Sunday we were wiped out and starving. We headed to Mama’s on Washington for brunch. We waited outside, in the rain for an hour. We had to and I am glad we did because it was that good!

By the time we were done with brunch it was time to check out and head to the airportL Overall it was a wonderful trip and we can’t wait to go back again. If you are ever in SF please let me know and I will send you the guide my work friends made for us.

A Late San Francisco Treat

I am an idiot. I completely forgot to recap my San Francisco trip we took over a month ago. I would blame it on pregnancy brain, but I am not pregnant so that won’t work.

November 18 we headed up to San Francisco for Marco’s 30^th Birthday celebration. I had never been and M had only been once. This trip was perfect. I fell in love with SF and can’t wait to go back again.

Friday morning we woke up early and headed to LAX. We flew Virgin and it was awesome. I wish they flew to AtlantaL Our hotel was in Nob Hill which was the perfect location. Before we left a work friend of mine gave us the run down of must dos while we were there from a locals perspective. It was so nice to have this cheat sheet to get the true feel for the city.

Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived so we left our bags and started walking. It was sprinkling, of course, but I loved it. In LA it rarely rains, so I embraced it. We headed to the Warft through Chinatown. The first todo on the agenda was Clam Chowder. We headed to Boudin and it was delish! At lunch we go the call our room was ready so we slowly made our way back to the hotel. Our room was amazing! We had a view of the Financial District and the water. Perfection!

Later that night we took a car to the Marina district to the Tipsy Pig. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere reminded me of an Abercrombie catalog.

I'm LOVING Marco and I splurged on Kanye & Jay-Z tickets. The show was unreal. Best concert either one of us had ever seen. The energy in the room was insane. Rumor has it they will be collaborating again this spring on a Watch the Throne part 2 album. Please, pretty please:)

I'm LOVING my boss is in Hong Kong this week. It gives me some time to get ready for the new year, plan travel and take a little me time before the holidays.

I'm LOVING that I have lost 10 pounds since July. Monday I went to the doctor for a routine physical. This pretty much made my week!

I'm LOVING our holiday party is this weekend. My company goes ALL OUT. This year we will have the best food trucks in LA, the In & Out truck, games for the kids, employee giveaways and they are raffling off a 2011 Toyota Prius. You have no idea how much I want to win that. It is my dream car. I would only have to fill up once a month!

I'm LOVING I am getting my hair highlighted this weekend. The skank roots are starting to show a little too much.

I'm LOVING my husband! I am a totally worrier and stress about the small stuff. He completely balances me out. Without him life would be one big ball of stress for me.

My entire life I have always dreamed of living a big life. A few months ago my mom came across of a poem I wrote in 5th grade. It was in this poem where I stated that I would be a bigger actress than Julia Roberts {insert barrel of laughter here}. Well, that hasn't come true and I don't act, but I have always been all about dreaming big.

One night a couple years ago Marco and I had some friends over, late in the evening and about 3 bottles of wine in I made everyone come up with one word to describe everyone. Mine was dreamer. When we moved to LA I had more stars in my eyes than Marco did.

I think Marco balances me out. He is a realist. As you can imagine this sometimes gets annoying with me when I just want him to let go a little and dream. His dream is to win the John Cassavetes Award for best first time director.

The way I look at dreams is that they do have the potential to become a reality if you put your mind to it. For some people it means to get married, own a home, have kids and enjoy their job. To me that is a great dream. Unfortunately, my husband dragged me out to Hollywood and my dreams have only escalated since our arrival.

I am kind of miffed on what to do on Saturday since college football has come to and end. In its place I have decided to bake. Growing up my sisters and I would spend one day in December baking with my mom. Since we won't have time to do that this year I decided to do it on my own. Sunday is a BIG day! First the Broncos play the Bears at 1:05 PST on FOX. I love that all the networks are clamoring to broadcast each Broncos game. Makes me happy:) Second we have the Kanye & Jay-Z concert that night. Marco is over the moon excited about it. I think he will be talking about this concert forever like my dad always does. My parents were a product of the 60's and 70's and saw EVERYONE play at some point in time. I should do a post just on that.

At some point this weekend I plan on learning how to use Marco's 5D and 7D cameras. We have them, but never use them, so I think I need to learn. I know I won't be the next Annie Lebowitz, but I am married to someone who has been trained extensively in photography/cinematography I think I need to take advantage.

Marco and I are HUGE Tebow fans! Marco was there at the very game when Tebow was introduced into the college football world. UF vs Vandy. The Gators were up by enough TDs and Urban decided to put in Tebow. During his first drive he threw an interception. Needless to say M wasn't very optimistic about our new backup QB. Well of course all that changed. We saw the Gators play multiple times in the Swamp over the next 4 years and loved every minute of it. 2 National Championships baby!

When it was time for Tebow to enter the pros we were 100% supportive and didn't believe in all the drama surrounding his throw or his style of playing. He is a winner and will do what he needs to do to win games. Personally I think he is a great pheno for the NFL and any team should be lucky to have him. Of course I am completely bias in every sense of the word.

A couple weekends ago M and I drove down to San Diego for the day to enjoy a nice day of football. The first half of the game was pretty boring, but in true Tebow style the team found a way to win in OT.

What I am Loving

I'm LOVING how busy our fall/winter has been. Yes, I complain about how busy it has been every Monday, but it is nice being busy.

I'm LOVING it is almost Christmas. Yay for family time:) Boo for 5.5 hour plane rides across the country and the red eye:(

I'm LOVING that my hair is growing out. A few months ago I had it cut into a long bob and actually hated it. I am also LOVING my colorist is available next weekend for a touch-up.

I'm LOVING Grooveshark. I seriously love this website for music. It makes my work days go by so much faster.

I'm LOVING text messaging. If I had to pick up the phone and call every time I had a thought I would be so annoyed.

I'm LOVING last night as soon as I came home I cranked up the music and cleaned my closet. I do this every two months whenever I become overwhelmed by my clothes. I tried on all my jeans and realized 3 pairs I don't wear because they are too long.

I'm also LOVING having a wonderful relationship with our head sewer at work. She mends all of my clothes.

I'm LOVING the new XBOX download. Yes, I am a dork. I use XBOX mainly for Netflix. With the new download they added a "Press X to add to instant queue." Before it was a 3 step process, now it's just one:)

What a night! Did you hear about the crazy winds last night in Southern California? It was crazy. Typically our weather is the same every day, pretty boring, but last night was insane. The winds are supposed to start again this afternoon. Fingers crossed I will be able to get home at a reasonable hour.

Last night I started wrapping Christmas presents. Our tree looks so much better with gifts underneath it. I am hoping to complete our shopping this weekend. I want to enjoy our little apartment all decked out before we have to ship out our gifts.

I feel like I have been going, going, going since the beginning of November. I can't wait for a relaxing, quiet weekend filled with Christmas movies, baking and cuddling. Too bad it will have to wait one more weekend. Of course this weekend is jammed packed.

Marco LOVES Jay-Z & Kanye West. I would have to say I am a pretty big fan myself. They are coming to LA and just announced a third additional show. We finally got tickets. My husband is like a little kid right now. He is so happy!

I am betting that my friend, C, has her baby early. She is due 12/27, when we are out of town. I will be heartbroken if I am not here when baby Decker arrives.

I'm LOVING our Christmas Itinerary is complete for our trip home to Atlanta. Yes, I put together a schedule for our families. I always receive backlash from them but it is for their own good. This is our vacation too and I don't want to spend it on a guilt trip because we didn't plan accordingly. As you can tell I get very amped up about this;)

I'm LOVING my bestie is expecting her bundle of joy anytime now. She just hit 36 weeks and is ready to meet her new little man. I am pretty much convinced he will be the most beautiful baby considering how beautiful his parents are.

I'm LOVING our tree is setup and I am starting my wrapping tonight. Our tree looks so bare without any presents underneath it.

I'm LOVING how my company embraces the holidays. All of our buildings are decorated to the nines and our holiday party is quickly approaching, which is always awesome.

I'm LOVING Christmas music 24/7. I started screaming with excitement on my way home from work when I noticed they were playing it on the radio. Yes, I was one of those people who started listening before Thanksgiving.

What a day! 90+ emails, holiday travel, conference calls, Board of Director projects. Let's just say at 11 AM I was ready for a glass of wine. Phew!

Marco and I got back late last night from SF. It was the perfect way to celebrate his 30th birthday and getaway! I can't wait to go a full recap over the next few days.

Since it the week of Thanksgiving I wanted make note of a few things I am thankful for everyday this week. I should do this everyday-maybe this will become a personal habit of mine:)

I'm THANKFUL for my wonderful husband. We were truly made for one another! After this weekend I fell in love with him all over again.

I'm THANKFUL for my car. I seriously love my Scarlet. She may not be the prettiest girl on the street, but she makes me happy.

I'm THANKFUL for my sisters. Over the past few months we have grown closer. Growing up we were really hard on one another. Now that we are adults I think we appreciate each other more.

I'm THANKFUL for remixes. Yep, I said it. I am a remix whore. If their is a remix chances are I will probably love it. I could listen to them for hours {sometimes I do}. Right now my favorites are FTP Pumped Up Kicks by Gigamesh and Madonna's What It Feels Like For A Girl by Paul Oakenfold.

I'm THANKFUL for my job. As crazy as it can be from day to day I adore the people I work with. They make the crazy days that much easier to deal with.

My company rented out a 170 person theater at LA Live tonight for an advanced screening of Breaking Dawn. Who's excited? This girl! I asked Marco to see it with me because I don't really have a lot of girlfriends in LA. He said yes, but let's wait a couple of weeks. No bueno in my book. Thankfully my office pulled through and we are able to see it with the rest of the Twilight freaks {I mean that in the best way possible and consider myself to be apart of this group.}

Last night we did all of our shopping for Thanksgiving. We didn't want to wait until we came back from our trip because we knew things would be extremely picked over/gone. For example: We couldn't find a turkey over 20 lbs. last night. They were already sold out. Instead we had to buy two smaller turkeys instead. Not a big deal, but still annoying.

Our annual Thanksgiving Friends Feast is one week away! Bring on the sweet potato casserole-pretty much my favorite thing ever.

Our Christmas schedule in Atlanta is almost complete. I know this might sound silly to some of you, but when Marco and I travel home we have to put together a schedule of where we will be spending out time. Not every second is planned, just who we are staying with on what nights and our Christmas plans. This does cause quite the ordeal on both sides. My outlook is I would rather deal with it now before we get home instead of while we are there. We are only there for a week and I don't want any arguments to occur while we are there. The first draft went out this morning and I am already receiving a tiny bit of backlash.

Beverly Hills What a Thrill!

Last week Marco's parents were in town. His dad's company is headquartered here so he comes out twice a year for sales meetings and their huge anniversary party (yes, they throw one every year). His mom tagged along to hang out with us. Marco hadn't seen his mom in a year! Crazytown.

For the first part of their trip they stayed at the SLS Beverly Hills. We rarely spend time in BH because it really isn't our scene, but it was fun to hang out at the hotel. It reminded me a lot of Vegas.

I took a half day for a fun day in BH with his mom. We went to Villa Blanca for lunch. It was delish! We saw Ken and Mohammad lunching and eating up everyone who wanted to take a picture with them. Next up was Rodeo Drive for some window shopping and then, my favorite, Kendra Scott. We both picked up some cute items. The girls who work there are always so nice. I would totally love to be friends with them. Later that night we met up with our husbands for dinner in Venice at Baja Cantina.

Saturday we celebrated Marco's birthday by watching college football, drinks at the Ritz Carlton Marina Del Rey and dinner at Bottega Louie Downtown. This was the perfect way to end their trip. We had wine, yummy Italian food, Macaroons and the cherry on top was sitting next to Emma Roberts and Cord Overstreet from Glee. Just another night out in LA {kidding!}

This morning I woke up still on a high from last night. It took me FOREVER to fall asleep because my adrenaline was pumping like crazy.

Corey, Devin, Spencer, MG and myself ventured to the LA Arts District. It is a really cool area which used to be breweries and have now been turned into lofts. Not just anyone can live here. You must make your entire income off of art. Kevin is the creator of COLLAB and his loft looks like a space ship. It was truly crazy.

Last night MG presented The Ocean Black to a group of about 60 artists in the LA community. There were four films shown and The Ocean Black was by far the most put together {not that I am bias or anything!}

He made a couple contacts which he is going to follow up with today. We both know this isn't life changing, but it is the first step. This was the first time TOB had been shown in front of an audience we had never met and people loved it.

I couldn't be more proud or excited for my husband. I know how hard he works day in and day out on his projects. I hope he starts to reap the rewards of his hard work soon. That will make me one very happy wife!

After Work Plans

Last week MG was contacted by someone who works for Kickstarter. This gentleman runs a group called COLLAB once a month.

What is this group?

It is where artists from all different types of areas can come together and network, show projects, get advice and enjoy free pizza and beer.

Tonight MG is showing The Ocean Black to a group of about 100 artists and then conducting a Q&A afterwards.

Needless to say we are really excited and thankful for the opportunity. We are both looking forward to meeting new people and seeing what other projects are going on in the indie world.

I can't wait to report back tomorrow on how the experience goes.

A Night Out in Hollywood

Last week I attended a work event at the Sayers Club in Hollywood with a live performance by Theophilis London.

It was your typically LA party with everyone dressed in black and too cool for school. MG and I are so not Hollywood. In the 3 years we have lived here it was my third time at a club and his first. As much as I am not apart of the Hwood scene, I love going. It is fun, free drinks & food, a live performance {he killed it!} and celebrity sightings.

I'm LOVING Felicity is streaming on Netflix. Sunday I finished Friday Night Lights and cried. I needed a new show to fill this void. In high school I would watch Felicity here and there, but never consistently. I am starting from the beginning. Four episodes down, 81 to go.

I'm LOVING crock pot meals. The last thing I want to do when I get home from work is cook. Last week I made baked potatoes in the crock pot and they turned out perfectly. I will only cook them this way from now on. Tonight we are making a pork shoulder for tacos and BBQ platters.

I'm LOVING work events. Once every other month I get invited to the events our team puts on with magazines. Tomorrow night is a GQ party in Hollywood. It is a fun way to spend the evening and see the new it clubs.

This weekend was perfect! Friday night we went to The Satellite in SilverLake to see Gill Landry and The Felice Brothers. The show was AWESOME! Both MG and I left saying it was one of the best live shows we have ever seen. The Felice Brothers were unreal. There sound was so different. It went from synthesizer to rap to country to Bob Dylan and back around again. If you ever have the opportunity to see them live I would check them out.

Saturday was the Florida/Georgia game. Most of our friends in LA are from GA. This always makes it interesting when we get together. The Gators didn't look great and GA won. It's okay. They win once every four years. I can be cool with that {just a little dig}. We were able to spend the day with the cutest Bulldog, MiaBella, our friend Alli's daughter. She was a doll and so much fun to be around for the day. Everyone kept asking us when we are going to start a family. Being parents is a lot of hard work that I don't have time for right now. I will enjoy my time being Auntie Brit!

As if we didn't spend all day Saturday watching College Football, I felt the need to continue this into Sunday. I finished up with last season of Friday Night Lights. I cried. It is such a great show. Why did it have to end? Tear.

Overall it was a great weekend and I am already for the next one. I can't believe tomorrow is November 1st. Time flies!

After my awful afternoon yesterday {just an overall annoying day}, I am so ready for the weekend.

It is Halloween weekend which can only mean one thing.

Tomorrow we are meeting up at C&D's to watch the game. Like always MG and I are the only Gator fans in the group. My fingers are crossed so very tightly that we can pull this one off.

Tonight we are heading over to Silverlake to see a show {The Felice Brothers, Gill Landry, Far Gone & Out Midnight Dance Party}. I am sure I will be the only peppy one there since this is a very hipster part of town. Whatever:) MG LOVES Gill Landry, so of course we have to go.

MG just got off from a phone interview with our hometown paper promoting The Ocean Black. The article will be out next week. I can't wait to share it with you. Even if we don't reach the 100K, which we know is a lofty goal but super cheap for a movie-seriously cheap, we know something great will come from this.

I'm LOVING...the text message I woke up to this morning from my mom. Today 28 years ago she found out she was pregnant with me. My parents had been trying for awhile and were unsuccessful. The last time they tried before starting IVF they conceived me. Needless to say I am pretty thankful it worked.

Have I mentioned I am not a fan of Tuesdays? I prefer Monday's much more. There is something about starting off a new week. Maybe it is new opportunities or the unknown for the week ahead. To me Tuesday is just a day I can't get excited about. Whatever.

Tonight I am attempting to make crock pot baked potatoes. I have an absolutely awful record when it comes to making these, so much so that MG has told me to stop buying them at the grocery store. It is just a waste of money. Well thank you Pinterest, hopefully my streak of making under cooked potatoes will end tonight.

I started Weight Watchers 3 weeks ago and haven't lost a pound. This is something I am not too proud of. My goal is to loose 10 pounds by Christmas. I have 8 weigh-ins left. I think this is something I can do, I just have to start working out more. Two days at the gym and eating baked potatoes isn't going to show any results.

Christmas is two months away. YES! I can't wait to go home this year. Most of the time I am like whatever when it comes to where we spend holidays, but this year I am really looking forward to spending time with my family. September 2009 MG and I were invited to go on a camping trip up to Yosemite with C & D and their couple friends.

It was one of the best trips of my life.

The answer is yes!

There was just something about the people who we were with and the setting that I will never forget.

It was perfect.

We have been talking for awhile now about planning our next camping trip. I am eager to go again soon. I want to sit by the camp fire, roast marshmallows and look up at the stars.

Blogger Meet-Up at Tanaka Farms

Last Wednesday I received an email from Julie. She found my blog after I commented on someone's post. It was this post. Come to find out she is from Atlanta and just moved to Irvine. Me being the little kid that I am squealed and got super excited. I emailed her immediately. She invited me to a blogger meet-up that Sunday. Honestly at first I was a little nervous, but as the next few days went by I got more and more excited.

Sunday finally rolled around. This was the highlight of my weekend. {MG was working on his kickstarter all weekend long, so I was in bed by 10 PM both nights-call me 70!} I woke up early, worked out, made breakfast, showered and then hit the road. We met at Tanaka Farms in Irvine. There is a pumpkin patch with petting zoo, corn field maze, arts & crafts and market. We explored the corn maze, picked out pumpkins and enjoyed getting to know one another.

My absolute FAVORITE thing about Fall is College Football.

Ever since I was a little girl {7th grade} my Saturday's have revolved around the SEC football schedule.

Even on my wedding day I woke up early with this girl so we could catch college game day.

Yes, some may think I am weird, but if you are a female from the south and you don't do this then you are weird

{I tease, not every woman does this, just the die hard fans}.

When co-workers ask me what my weekend plans are my answer is always the same, college football:)

I didn't go to a school with a football team. That is one thing I will always look back on and wish I did differently.

In my head this is the type of tailgating party I will be throwing this weekend for Florida/Auburn, LSU/Tennessee and Ole Miss/Alabama.

Good Morning Friends! Happy Monday to you, if there is such a thing. How was your weekend? Mine was super busy and I loved every minute of it.

Friday night MG and I were total chunks and dined at Black Angus. It is the west coast version of Long Horn. It was delish, but too much food. You would have thought it was our last meal ever. After dinner we were going to head to the movies, but both of us were wiped out after a long week.

Saturday I woke up early hit the gym, crafted, watched some football with friends, it was perfection. Our friends C & D moved to a house in Encino. It is adorable and the new get together spot for everyone. It is the perfect setup: huge sectional, 60 inch TV and an amazing kitchen. This makes me want a house bad!

Sunday we went to the Farmers Market and Rose Bowl in the morning. Unfortunately we left empty handed from the Rose Bowl. I was on a mission and they didn't have anything I was looking for. Totally bummed:( To cheer me up we went to see The Ides of March. It wasn't very good in my opinion. Too many story flaws, but the acting was great and our BF, Ryan, was looking gorgeous as always. In my opinion Drive was 10X better. Did you see it? What did you think?

It's the weekend, well almost:) Do you have anything fun planned?

Tonight is date night for us so we are headed out to dinner and then the movies {Ides of March, correction from yesterdays post. I can't wait to see my bf.}

Saturday I am going to wake up early and hit the gym because our Gators play at 12:30 PM PST. We might be getting together with our LSU friends to catch the game. This has become a tradition for us every year.

Sunday we are hitting the Rose Bowl Flea Market. I seriously love this place. There are always so many fun treasures. We are on the hunt for Christmas gifts. Fingers crossed we can find something for the men in our family. Why do they have to be so hard to shop for?

The world was shocked tonight with the passing of Steve Jobs. I was on the way home and the radio DJ made the announcement. My jaw dropped and I started to get teary eyed. His ideas and products have impacted my life and MG's career. In film school his was required to have a MacBook Pro with Final Cut. I was hooked. I wanted to be on it all the time. I would actually tease him because he treated the computer like a baby. Together we have owned many Apple products: 2 iPods, 2 shuffles, 3 iPhones, MacBook Pro and 27 inch iMac. For Christmas MG is going to get an iPad, which I am so excited about.

Thank you Steve for being a visionary. Our world would be so different without you. You took a chance, changed the world and I will be forever grateful.

Today marks our 3 year anniversary of living in LA! Ahh so crazy. One of my favorite bloggers Jax posted this last week. I thought it would be fun to adjust it to what I thought life would be like out here...

Setting 2008, just married {a few days prior}, we are on a strict schedule to make it across the country in 4 days for two reasons, first, we have to pick up our keys by 5 PM or we can't get in until the next day and second, the next day we are leaving for our honeymoon in Mexico for a week at 5 AM. {Yes, this was very poor planning on my part!}

* Congratulations, you have lived out here for 3 years! This is a major accomplishment since CA is such a transient state. In this time you have seen friends come and go, but you stayed. At first it was hard, much harder than you anticipated, but LA is now your home for the next 10-15 years or until you can afford to move to Santa Barbara.

*You survived a summer in the Valley! It is hot. Dad wasn't lying when he really question why you wanted to move there in the first place {my answer was because it feels like a west coast version of Atlanta}. He spent 15 long hot summers growing up there.

*Find a job will be hard since you moved out right as the economy crashed. Temping will become your major source of employment for your first 6 months. You will HATE every moment of it, but just know there is something better for you out there. Eventually you find it, put in your time, climb the corporate ladder and are right where you should be.

*Invest in a mattress & bed when you move. Sleeping on a blowup mattress for 9 months is awful. Just bite the bullet and buy things you need. Don't wait for your family to move out and bring you your stuff. They will be about a 1.5 years behind their ETA.

*You will make wonderful friends out here and then life changes happen. It will be an adjustment to new things, but this will help you put your life into perspective. It is at this moment in life where you and MG come to appreciate each other more.

*Family will visit and think you are crazy for living here-get used to it.

*Don't try to be anyone else besides you. When you are down about yourself don't check facebook. It doesn't help.

*You listen to Ryan Seacrest everyday on the radio and realize two things. 1. He very well could at least be bi because it is way too in touch with his feminine side 2. How does Ryan's Roses continue? You have been using the same scheme to catch cheating men for 3+ years now?!

*Continue to be a supporting wife. You need to realize this doesn't happen overnight. Being a director is one of the hardest industries to break in to. MG will create his own opportunity and it will workout You just have to practice what you preach.

*Some days you will hate living in LA and think moving back to Atlanta will fix all your problems. This is okay.

*People in the grocery store are mean. Get used to it. Eventually you won't be scared to go to Target due to the massive amounts of people at 9 PM on a week night.

*This is your life. You can do anything you want to do with it. Take it by the horns, live your dreams and never look back.

Isn't this beautiful!?

It looks like we will be getting some cooler temps this week which means I can finally bring out my boots and wear these new babies. I have been obsessing over these boots for a year now and I finally broke down and committed. They have been shipped and I am eagerly awaiting.

This weekend contained lots of football {my poor Gators}, quality time with the husband, replenishing my make-up bag and a perfect ending to the weekend-dinner with great friends. I wish I could do it all over again, oh well, next weekend is only 4.5 days away.

The rest of this year is going to fly by and I just need to accept it. With football Saturdays, MG's Kickstarter, a camping weekend, the in-laws visit, MG's bday, SF, Thanksgiving and my company holiday party I will be in Atlanta with my favorite people in the blink of an eye. I CAN'T WAIT!

I also bought two more Christmas presents this weekend! Six people down and nine more left to buy for. I hope we are done by November so we aren't breaking the bank come Christmas time. Only 82 days left...crazy!

When In A Time Of Need

Disclaimer: These are solely my opinions, I am not trying to force them on anyone else.

My parents belong to North Point Community Church. They have been members there since I was a sophomore in high school. At the time I was at the rebellion stage and had no interest in going to church with them. I was raised Episcopalian and attended church every Sunday growing up. Before I moved, I would attend church with my parents sporadically and think that it was awesome, but it was never anything I would attend on my own. None of my friends in college/post-college were into that sort of "thing."

Lately I have been feeling a little empty inside. At first I thought it was mainly because my girlfriends lives were changing without me. To be honest this does have a little to do with it, but what I have realized over the past few months I have had no one to help guide me on my path besides myself and MG.

For awhile now I have been thinking about NPCC and their podcasts. I have never made the time to listen to them until today {my car is in the shop}. This is exactly what I have been missing in my life.

Andy Stanley is the pastor. He is so charismatic, passionate and animated when he speaks you can't help but want to listen. I started with the Road to Recovery series. I have only listened to the first message, but it is exactly what I needed to hear. I feel that MG and I are at a point in our life where we can make even better decision to benefit us down the road. We just need to stay true to who we are and our values. I think what I love the most about his message is how he incorporates real life issues with the words from the bible. If you are ever feeling a little bit lost I would highly recommend checking out the podcasts. For the rest of the day you can find me cleaning our apartment and crafting while listening to Andy Stanley:)

This year has FLOWN by a little too fast for my liking. The other night MG and I were discussing vacation options for next year. There are so many fun things we want to do and since we have been bitten by the travel bug. We are eager to get something on the calendar soon.

Our best friends from Atlanta want us to join them in Sonoma for the 34th annual Barrel Tasting. This is where 100+ wineries offer futures on their bottles of wine and open up their new vintage {I think this is the right wording}. Tickets are $30 for 3-days. Honestly this sounds like heaven on earth to me. For our honeymoon I wanted to go to Napa badly, but MG didn't. I have been patiently waiting for 3 years now to experience wine country. I cannot wait for this trip.

One of the trips on my bucket list was to rent a beach house with MG's family and my family. Well it looks like this is coming true! Yesterday I started researching and found some really great options for next summer. At first I was thinking Destin, but MG isn't a fan. He thinks its over-rated. Whatever. He suggested Folly Beach in South Carolina. We have vacationed there before and had a fabulous time. Charleston is 20 minutes away and I am minorly obsessed with that city so of course I was down. I have some downtime at work this week so I can't wait to start exploring to see what is available. One more thing to cross off my bucket list:)

Last but not least, my boss is getting married! Ahh so excited for him and his adorable fiance. She is from Boston, so we will be making the trip sometime next fall to see them walk down the isle. The last time we were in Boston was 12 years ago for MG's grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. We stopped in BOS for a few days and then headed up to Vermont. We have been dying to go back as adults. I hear the fall in the NE is unreal.

CANNOT WAIT for all these exciting trips. I hope they all work out. Fingers crossed:)

What I'm Loving

It's Wednesday again y'all and I am happy. Two more mornings to wake up and then it is the weekend. It is the little things:)

I'm LOVING tomorrow is a Jewish holiday, Rosh Hashanah, for purely selfish reasons. This means no traffic for the next two days. I can sleep in an extra 10 minutes and still get to work on time.

I'm LOVING MG and I had a successful anniversary dinner last night which included champagne, lobster tail, twice baked potatoes and key lime pie shots. Yummy!

I'm LOVING that this morning I booked our tickets to SF and we are flying Virgin! Everyone in my office always raves about them and MG took them to Europe years ago. I am a Virgin virgin {pun intended} and I can't wait to see what all the hype is about.

I'm LOVING I don't have the urge to shop {except for a pair of boots I have been lusting over for a year now, I am finally ordering them this weekend}. I guess something weird has come over me the past couple of weeks. I would much rather spend my time with MG at home crafting or organizing our place.

I'm LOVING my SIL updates about her house. She is always texting me her new goodies. They move in a week before we come home for Christmas so I CANNOT wait to see the finished product.

I'm LOVING we booked our tickets home for Christmas in March. I looked on Delta today and the prices have already doubled. Go me:)

Three years ago today I married my best friend {and pretty much had the best wedding weekend ever-just a little bias}. I know it sounds touche, but it is true. I married my perfect match. He knows how to annoy me to no end, but he loves me for me and accepts it {sharp tongue and all}.

When I walked down the isle three years ago I thought our life would be completely different. I was pretty naive when we first got married. I thought everything would be rainbows and butterflies. Well folks, that is not always the case-sorry to burst your bubble. Two days after we tied the knot we moved to LA with no jobs, a blow up mattress, 2 camping chairs and whatever else we could fit in my Accord coupe. For us it was about following our dreams and seeing what else the world has to offer. Our first year of marriage was un-glamorous to say the least, but we made the most of it with Friday night sushi night at Niko Niko in Burbank and dance parties in our empty apartment. Looking back now we have come so far in just three short years. It makes me completely optimistic for what the next three years might have in store for us.

MG there is no one else on earth I would rather be on this journey with. Life may not always go as planned {which drives me crazy}, but as long as I have you by my side I know life will work out the way it should. I love you!

Kendra Scott

I have been a lover of all Kendra Scott jewelry since I first spied these pretty little earrings in People Style Watch a year or two ago. I fell in love. This past year MG gave them to me as a birthday gift and they have become a staple in my wardrobe.

Two weeks ago Gilt City has a coupon for the new KS store in Beverly Hills. Of course I jumped at the chance to pick out a pretty gift for a friend and another pair of earrings for me.

When you walk into the store half of it is merchandise designed by KS and the other half is the Color Bar. What is the Color Bar? It is where you can design your own jewelry!

Needless to say I had a BLAST picking out the stones and deciding which colors I liked best. I think this is the perfect gift for any woman. Who wouldn't love designing their own jewelry? Here are some pictures from my experience!

Well times have changed folks.

I am now that girl. haha

Pintrest has influenced me to become obsessed with crafting.

This weekend I have one or two projects on my list.
