So long...

I’ve come to the realization that this will be my last blog post for a while.  I want to thank all of your for reading my blog, I truly appreciate it. Hopefully this isn’t goodbye, it's see you later.  You can follow still follow me on Twitter & Instagram {bkg713}

Update: Just to clarify, I am 100% fine.  Life is moving at a rapid pace right now and I don't have time to dedicate to blogging, my husband, friends, work and workout out.  Something has to give and at this moment it feels like blogging has got to go.  I still love blogs and will still enjoy reading about your journeys.

Easter

For the past few years Easter seems to be “our” holiday for whatever reason.  We always seem to have the best time.  Maybe it is the low expectations or everyone is around so it is natural we all get together.  Whatever “it” is, I hope it continues.

Sunday morning we opted out of our annual tradition for going to Duke’s in Malibu for brunch.  Why?  Pretty much because I am the best wife on earth {I kid}.  We stayed home to watch the Gators get their butt kicked in the Elite 8 while I made pancakes, bacon and eggs.  It wasn’t Duke’s but it was a close second.  After the game we headed to Hollywood to spend the afternoon with friends.  I always feel like I am going to a different world when we venture east.  Even though it is only 7 miles from our apartment the vibe is so different than living by the beach.  We spent the afternoon watching more basketball, talking about Spring Breakers and The Place Beyond the Pines and of course it ended with a dance party.  We were the last to leave and starving so we ventured to The Grove for dinner at Wood Ranch Grill.  I would say it was a pretty good Easter!

Being A Friend

This post is going to come out like word vomit, excuse my French, but my thoughts have been all over the place the past few days.

In the past 2 weeks I have found out that my three closest friends are moving, one to London, one to Singapore (this hasn’t been 100% confirmed, but is looking pretty good) and one to Seattle.   Two live in Atlanta so we are used to long distance, but one is in LA and my heart is broken.  Honestly, I couldn’t be more excited for them, they are following their dreams or their husband’s dreams and I know exactly what that is like.  You are going some place new that is full of potential opportunity.  You have no idea what life will be like tomorrow, much less 3 months from now.  It is an adventure.   These three women have taught me so much about friendship and I couldn’t be more grateful.  I've learn so much about myself and what I value in others.  I have never been one to have a lot of friends, it just wasn’t my style, but I have come to realize it is quality, not quantity.  With that said, I am foreseeing wonderful trips in the future.  We are not breaking up, we are now just in long distance relationships.  That’s what we have to tell ourselves.

Sonoma

This time last year we flew up to San Francisco to meet our college best friends from Atlanta for a wine tasting weekend.  We had talked about this trip many times over the past few years but finally followed through and it was nothing short of spectacular.  We rented a cabin near the Russian River and spent our days enjoy copious amounts of wine.

Take me back please.
